I will respectfully disagree with Jim

Drank the '95 approx. 8 mos. back
....it blew my socks off

This wine would have never tasted like this young....great secondary and tertiary notes that u can not find in a young wine.

Donald Trump has zero chance of being president of the United States, whether he runs as a Republican or a third party candidate. As vile as he is, give me someone who speaks his mind over these phony Marco Rubio and Scott Walker types. Those two guys make me want to gag. I said it in the last elec...

I love Margaux but this clearly fell short of my wheelhouse...to its credit I did find the '09 giscours in an awkward stage once but I know thie giscours rocks, other tastings have confirmed this. Too young is all I can say Where is this going? Not sure It is just not showing its best at this stage in its evolution. Unless one is a necrophiliac, wouldn't every wine's "robertgoulet sliding scale" (patent pending) end in "-0" (or "-50" if you give the first 50 points for simply being a liquid with some alcohol)? I think reviewers cover the decline part of the scale with comments lik...

Re: 2005 - Parker's biggest losers & gainers

I am still rambling.....Maybe I am crazy but a pro should be able to spot an early drinker that will decline overtime...just look at those jammy, high alcohol..low acid shiraz wines....do they improve? RARELY, imo...I would love to see someone with the cojones to score a wine like this.... 91now-87 ...

Re: 2005 - Parker's biggest losers & gainers

Scoring wine is a bit silly...how to u apply a fixed score to an unfixed substance? ? Though, yes many to apply a small sliding scale...but if u apply a sliding scale and if your a pro why is no critic applying a score that looks like this 92-88?..nope, that's why no one is truly a pro...though yes,...

Wow on the lascombes....I have to disagree, but I believe there is quite a bit of bottle variation with this wine...I tasted it and liked it, it's nothing profound but it appeared to be margaix-like for me, soft, elegant, hints of margaux berries...but others like Orlando Bobby had a different exper...

2009 giscours
2004 SHL (one of my favorite wines)

Although you must be selective as some producers were much more successful than others in this uneven vintage. You can also seek ...
