Re: Just popped a 14.5% Bordeaux

I had 2000 Bon Pasteur as a dark horse in flight with 2000 Trotanoy in my Trotanoy vertical, two different ways of winemaking. I was afraid of over-extracted and dry wine. Nope, it was close in appearance to Trotanoy 2000 which was brilliant. I remember tasting 2000 Fontenil, Michel Rolland's home ...

Re: NM on the 2010 Vintage

Guys I bought quite a lot of 2010’s en primeur from the Medoc, Graves/Pessac and Right Bank. The wines I tried at tastings were very good and I thought the wines were more consistent and had slightly better balance than 2009’s. And I also bought plenty of them too. I sold most of my older wine at a...

I poached every of ‘12 in Orlando when it went on sale for $23.99 ....incredible value, plenty of old school characteristics and healthy ripe fruits, I must say, the leather notes really sucked me in...yum

So yes, it’s still around...and I’m currently tracking the ‘05 on winebid :D
