Re: 2020 Olga Raffault Les Barnabés Chinon

Nice note. I had a few of these recently and really enjoyed them as it's a good red, summer wine. The leather notes were lovely. Sometimes I chilled it in the fridge for 5 or 10 minutes which seemed to balance it out further. Perhaps I need to tuck some away as well. Cheers.

Thanks for the note. I bought a single bottle of this at auction just before Xmas and was unsure of when to open. Sounds like it needs more time and fingers crossed that it shows up ok. I understand that the owners of PC elected to serve this vintage during a family wedding as they clearly hold it i...

Nice note - and I'm pleased to have some of the 2020 WTSRN tucked away.

The 97 that Ian bought out to NZ a couple of months ago was pretty special as well.

Nice note Mark. I had a few 2010s & 2015s of this and generally enjoyed them. I only say "generally" as I did find them to be a bit inconsistent from bottle to bottle. But the good ones were distinctively Margaux like and excellent value.

Had Labegorce's second wine tonight - Zede Labegorce 2019 which I thought was very good. Quite unlike its more feminine big brother (or should that be big sister?) though. This was chunky, gritty, tannic and full bodied - very traditional in style. Excellent value.
