Re: The Issue 224 wines I'm interested in buying pre arrival.

NM gave barrel tasting scores of (89-91) for the 2015 La Fleur de Bouard and of (90-92) for the 2015 Fleur Cardinale according to what has been posted on the chateauprimeur website and also compared to 92 and 94 from Jeff Leve respectively. It would seem to me that NM doesn't get wooed as much by th...

I too have been giving some thought as to what to buy on futures and I think the questiob boils down to whether these wines will be more expensive in 2 years than they are now.

In the name of science marcs, I think you should open one of the 02 Cos's you bought on futures tonight in order to see if the bottle evolution is the same. Tasting the same wine from different storage environments is a topic that has always interested me and you all probably know how the old adage ...

Re: So what have you bought lately?

So after receiving Grand Vins email yesterday notifying me that the 2009 Pape Clement was upgraded to 100 points I quickly winesearcher-ed it and ended up finding a case available for $137.97/btl at PJ Wine and ordered it online. My confirmation email just came which makes me 1 happy PJ's customer ;)

I kind of felt like I might have been Zachys bashing above so I called the store and confirmed that the free shipping is on any in stock Brunello and there is no dollar or btl minimum to qualify. I was told however that there would be a 1.5% shipping insurance charge that would be added.

Re: 2010 Brunello

Ha sorry let me try to clarify. I think 2010 is without a doubt a vintage worth buying. My hit or miss experiences that I referenced had nothing to do with 2010 vintage Brunello's but rather Brunello's from prior vintages much like what others including yourself were stating. And as for pricing, all...

I didn't mean to dissuade you, I am just saying to pick more selectively.
