Garagiste/Rimmerman is offering the 1998 La Tour du Pin Figeac [St Emilion] for $37 at the moment. It has a good location, somewhat in between Cheval Blanc and Figeac. Rarely seen and I think the vineyard has now been absorbed into one those estates. I enjoyed quite a bit the 1989 if memory serves me.

Yikes. I had always thought the Gulf side of the state was safer? My cousin is in Tampa and said they lost power, and that was about it. He has a generator and all that though.

I don't think balance is some never changing aspect that can't shift given how wines develop. one cool thing about Foillard's wines is that they are very low (or possibly no) sulfite, so they are some of the very few rouge's that one of my siblings can consume without having a reaction. Mostly they are stuck to white/sparkling because of that latter in life allergy. Bojo is handy in our area...

We had the 2009 version of that Jadot earlier this summer, probably a touch rounder than the vintage you had? It was good, but they seem very expensive for what they are.
