Garagiste/Rimmerman is offering the 1998 La Tour du Pin Figeac [St Emilion] for $37 at the moment. It has a good location, somewhat in between Cheval Blanc and Figeac. Rarely seen and I think the vineyard has now been absorbed into one those estates. I enjoyed quite a bit the 1989 if memory serves me.

I don't think balance is some never changing aspect that can't shift given how wines develop. one cool thing about Foillard's wines is that they are very low (or possibly no) sulfite, so they are some of the very few rouge's that one of my siblings can consume without having a reaction.
