Re: So what have you bought lately?

I bought some Savoie wines from Gilles Berlioz e few days ago. An interesting domaine, biodynamic, with a bunch of cuvees done in a nearly natural way where eeveybody is paid the same (wines are not cheap though...). Opened the cuvee "Jaja" 2022, a white Chignin wine and it is quite a diff...

People seem to love the 2014s while the 2015s are/were much more expensive... is it because they are cheaper or because you prefer the style and the wines?

Re: Bordeaux 2022

I do agree with WK but want to add that 2022 is far more consistent on the Left Bank than on Right one. Yes, some winemakers overdone their wines and it is strange because you only needed a gentle vinification. I find no comparison to 2018 but i am more eager to compare it to 2020 with more concent...

So I got 18 bottles of Castagnier (9 domaines, 9 negociants) who has lots of grand crus in both ranges, ... I got 12 bottles of Mugneret Gibourg and will get a pack of Bart......

Seems a bit unfair to condemn a book on failing to include one producer (I have a few of his Ruchottes)... as there are thousands of them in the Cote d'Or and assessing a producer takes time (so need to prioritise... although it could simply be a cancelled appointment... for covid reasons?)). LVMH... they have been waiting for years to bring up the price to the level of their other "vins d'elites" (Cheval Blanc, Yquem,...). Now, very close ... so they will put marketing effort to sell the stuff... I paid 50€ for the 2005... At 445 $ a bottle... not worth it... can't become supe...
