Re: What are we drinking in the booster boon?

Right now I'm sipping on 1989 Haut Marbuzet from a half bottle in one decanter, and in the other decanter, a 1982 Ormes de Pez, from a 750 with shoulder fill and evidence of seepage under the capsule. Both wines came out of the bottle kinda brown in color. The Haut Marbuzet had a slight sherry chara...

If I had anything left of this year's budget I would just go grab all 6, but I'll make sure I get one or two and then see if there are any left when my coffers are refilled.

Re: The 2014 Clerc Milon is stunning, brilliant, ‘88/89-Lynch-like.

Buying opportunities for Clerc Milon have evaded me thus far. However, there are six bottles of 2015 at my local wine store, and with wine prices on the rise, they're looking more attractive right now. Listed at $82.99, I think I can get 10% off. At $75 I might find a way to put a couple of them in ...

On Thursday I made this ragout. While it was cooking I consumed a bottle of 2014 Ch Sociando Mallet. A third of a bottle of 2014 Ch d’Arvigny went in the sauce along with a few pounds of fresh vegetables. The Sociando was ok but didn’t offer any more than a glimpse of what it could be. 6D8EDC0F-5810...

I'm sipping on a glass of 2014 Ch. d'Arvigny right now. It's old school to the core as far as I'm concerned, but only an 87-89 point wine in general. I opened this to put in my beef ragout Thursday night, but this afternoon it's drinking quite well.

A number of Cellartracker notes on the 2014 Cos are from users I'm a fan of including Motz, wineotim, Keith Levenberg, Tim Heaton, Jeff Leve. As a general comment, it is funny how people that doesn't ever made a single bottle of wine, if so, surely not in Bordeaux area, and that are BWE, are writing that Olivier Bernard managing Domaine de Chevalier since 1983 and probably involved in the manemaking since then, is making kinda dull wines...

It seems typical to choose a wine from 3 vintages prior. In that vein I nominate the 2018 Domaine de Chevalier.
Clocking in at 96-97 points and still available for under $100. (only 13.5%abv)
