Fun night. My tops were the '85 Mouton, '90 Mouton, and the '93 Haut Brion. Its weird. I didn't love the grower champagnes, but I am generally not a fan of most growers. I liked the Clouet 1911 the best although it was too young.

I have to say, I've had the LB back to the 82 and I've just never been blown away by the wine. The '82 the other week was certain good, but not the best of the lot. I want to love it, but I guess I've never had the right bottle.

I've never been a huge fan of Boeajolais as well, but Marcus S brought a Foillard Morgan 3.14 (Pi) to a tasting a few years back. I've never had such an elegant beaujolais. The price of that unicorny wine has been through the roof. Any recs on another wine that's similar?

Janet and I are def in. No real food allergies. As I said, we'll bring a (1) a mag of 2005 Charles Heidsieck, and (2) a couple bottles of '82 VCC. If people would rather we bring 2 750s of different champagnes, thats possible as well. I have a much larger selection of champagnes than aged pomerol.
