2016 Lafon Rochet. Deep garnet color. Nose of bramble berries. Softer palate than I expected with plenty of soft red fruit. Easy drinker for a chilly wet day with homemade Bo Kho!

This is embarrassing because hot weather tertre roteboeuf is hardly a fashionable or au courant wine to be drinking, but I keep seeing amazing deals on it and I do occasionally like Port and big Napa wines and it’s better in that style than those, so…this is all to say that I saw some 2018 (!) 2010 La Pointe

I opened this yesterday and after one glass I was going to dump it down the drain. It was sour, flat and just hard to swallow. No fruit at All. Glad I didn’t dump. Today, it has a spiced cider nose with plenty of plum notes on the palate. The sourness from the day before has subsided into a nice jus...

I agree with Jim. While drinking a mature Bordeaux is wonderful, I do like them in the 5-8 year range, too. I’ve already opened some 2019 to check them out and I thought they were drinking great! Same goes for 2019 Burgundy, even more so.
