I was looking for a bottle at a few locations and they all vanished yesterday! The price at Saratoga went up 20 bucks a bottle too. Looks like the market actually did move a little.

Door and first layer of insulation up. Soon time for a ton of repetitive milling and cutting of lumber for the racks.

Decided to go with Cherry for the racks since I can basically get it for free and already have a pile.

I know the Napa side much better but spent a little time on the Sonoma side. One thing I'd guess based upon recently being in Napa is that any winery in either valley is requiring reservations. Thanks all. Not exactly a budget thing, just dipping toe into 2019 Pomerol since they can still be had at a relative value. I haven't really had this AOC so I didn't want to dive in yet. Also looking for some backfills of past vintages as well.

The thought has crossed my mind that excellent vintages in Napa could truly be at their end or become quite scarce. I plan to scoop up some cases of 17 and 18s this year. The droughts, fire risk and heat will eventually overcome the valley without some positive shift in weather.
