Definitely more polished than the 2020 DDC and not as much acidity. Nowhere near an oaky and chubby Napa cab though.

Very nice on the nose straight out of the bottle. Blueberry, a little cherry, slate, pyrazine and a big hit of violets on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Structure and dusty tannins remain prominent. 93 pts.

Costco is sort of dumping 2019s like crazy these days... Tried 2019 FC maybe 10 days ago. The guest had popped and poured (I would have given some air). It started out fairly decent on the nose and had some weight on the palate, but I felt didn’t have the legs to go the distance as time progressed....

I cant say whether the 2019 will age well but as noted both my wife and I were impressed. I recall good structure and acidity and no heat from the 14.5 percent at all. I'll probably just drink the couple others I have in the next few years anyway.

Popped one of four that I picked up in a Vivino sale and cashback deal where the vendor swapped 2016s for 2019s. After complaint i got a very nice further discount and kept these.

The Borghese is a smaller museum but has the most incredible statues I've ever seen. The Sistine Chapel was not worth it to me even when skipping the line. There was almost no space to physically move in there. Also - it is easy to try to do too much. Plan time to just relax as was noted, eat gelato.
