Re: 2004 Vintage

I had Canon-la-Gaffeliere 2004 a few times over the last months and it is a great wine. I had Pichon Baron, Leoville Poyferre (which where the best from the left side that I had) and many others of the already mentioned Bdxs, but none of them had been better, especially if you consider the price. I...

Re: 2004 Vintage

The 2004 Ch Clerc Milon has always impressed me as an over achiever. I recently had the 2004 Clerc and wow what a wine. I have 2004 Duhart to drink next and currently bidding on 2004 Montrose. ;) My Clerc Milon 2004 Notes: The bottle had sediment and a slight bricking on the rim. The wine had a com...

I had 2017 twice, the first bottle I had three years ago was flawed but the second bottle that I had a couple of months ago was much better and enjoyable. looking forward to trying some stronger vintages.

Lilian Ladouys 2014

Ten-year-old St Estephe and what a banger food wine. No bricking on the rim but sediment inside the bottle. 56% Merlot, 40% Cab, 2% Cab Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Medium minus aromas of cassis, dried red fruit, cream, potting soil, dried herbs, game, and perfume. A juicy delicious wine with flavours of...

Re: Château le Temple Médoc 2016

You’re right JayLives, Bordeaux red wines are the best at any price level. That Château du Temple looks excellent, especially a in the great 2016 vintage. Here, i really like the inexpensive 2016 Allées de Cantemerle. And i’m hearingvthat the 2016 Château Haut Queyrus Médoc could be like your du Te...

Château le Temple Médoc 2016

Sunday night claret Those Bordeaux aromas of cassis, perfume, potting soil, barnyard, plum, and cherry. Silky flavours of plum, blueberry, minerals, and cedar. Medium plus acidity, with approachable tannins and a long finish. The type of wine where you ask, "How is Bordeaux the only one to pull...

My second time with this and have yet to be disappointed, the newer vintages have lots of good reviews across the board. Cheers

2016 Château Marsau

Fantastic QPR wine. Medium aromas of cherry, cassis, balsamic, licorice, and dried herbs. Juicy blueberry, balsamic, raspberry, and plum. Medium plus acidity with medium minus chalky tannins. Lots of sediment but no bricking and the wine is still giving primary notes. 90pts, a perfect food wine. Mar...

2012 Château Haut-Bages Libéral

My first Pauillac Wine, I actually have a bunch of HBL vintages on hand, and coming, 2019-2022. These arrived recently in my area for a reasonable Canadian price of $91 and normally would go for over $120 even with the weak vintages. 70% Cab with 30% Merlot and Almost 12 years old so it is showing a...

Lilian Ladouys 2020

I heard so much about this winery being one of the best QPRs in Bordeaux that I bought Back Vintages starting with 2014 without ever tasting any. LCBO dropped some half bottles so let's see what we have... Medium-intensity aromas of violet, cream, potting soil, and blackberry. The cream and blackber...
