Wine shipping is a crazy quilt especially if you live in a unfriendly state like Delaware though some stores will ship here. There is a bill in the state house to allow shipping and it seems to have a chance. Hope not expectations.

I'm reading more positive press about Kamala as she's been ingratiating herself with foreign ministers, etc. Maybe she won't be a major drag on the ticket...meanwhile another $112,000 goes on Trump's bill.

$112, 000 a day in interest on Trump's fine. You have to sell a lot of sneakers to cover that.

another 2000LL last night. Aerated for an hour and a slight mustiness remained. Not corked but not up to the level of the last one as above. One or two left. Served with shepherds pie with a mixture of ground chuck, veal and pork. A nice meal on a cold night.

I took a bottle of the 2000 to a dinner party last night. Once again, it showed very well with none of the greeness in earlier bottles and everyone enjoyed it. Could age be reducing the variability of this wine? I bought a case on release and it has been properly stored.

We had a great trip there a few years ago-well worth it. BA is a beautiful city and Mendoza a lovely place to visit. Achaval Ferrer makes an excellent, reasonably priced malbec and a nice winery to visit.

Re: 2005 Leoville Barton uncorked

My experience with the 2005's is that they require a lot more time. A recent 2005 Malmaison was closed and undrinkable even after a double decant. I am beginning to relate this vintage to 1986 where many wines that I cellared and drank never really seemed open. Based on the bottle of 2005 La Lagune...
