WP today: Poll shows Pennsylvania a tie.
NYT today: Harris leads in Pennsyvania but a tie nationally.

Thank you for your words BD. I remember that meeting as well.

I'm reading if Harris wins NC (polls close at 730 and write in votes are being tallied), it could be all over for the Trumpster. The Republican candidate for governor is a total loser as well.

We had a nice dinner at a BYOB off Rittenhouse Square called Luna. Italian cuisine owned by an Albanian women. Nice stemware and they decanted one of my wines. Let me tell you Albanian women are beautiful and love their country. We might have to visit one day.

There has been a fair amount of discussion on this wine and vintage. I didn't like the flavor profile from bottles opened several years ago but the green element seems to have disappeared fairly recently leaving a very nice wine as you note. Patience, a good thing.

Wine shipping is a crazy quilt especially if you live in a unfriendly state like Delaware though some stores will ship here. There is a bill in the state house to allow shipping and it seems to have a chance. Hope not expectations.

another 2000LL last night. Aerated for an hour and a slight mustiness remained. Not corked but not up to the level of the last one as above. One or two left. Served with shepherds pie with a mixture of ground chuck, veal and pork. A nice meal on a cold night.

I took a bottle of the 2000 to a dinner party last night. Once again, it showed very well with none of the greeness in earlier bottles and everyone enjoyed it. Could age be reducing the variability of this wine? I bought a case on release and it has been properly stored.

Re: 2005 Leoville Barton uncorked

My experience with the 2005's is that they require a lot more time. A recent 2005 Malmaison was closed and undrinkable even after a double decant. I am beginning to relate this vintage to 1986 where many wines that I cellared and drank never really seemed open. Based on the bottle of 2005 La Lagune...
