Re: TN: St Pierre & Ducru

I drank over a case of 2003 St. Pierre that I bought in NH for $19/bottle on closeout and finished my last bottle 3 years ago. In reviewing my notes I see that is was typical of the vintage, very ripe and low acid. It was fun to drink but never really wowed me.

Re: What are we drinking in lockdown?

Popped a 2013 Poggio Antico Madre Toscana last night with eggplant and sausage parm. I bought on closeout for $25/btl. Nice round nose with nice balance on the palate between fruit and tannin. I'm trying to add more Italian wines like this to the cellar that are a joy to drink and won't break the ba...

Gerry... I'm sure you've seen that NH has 15% on mixed case for ALL wines in January. I know about it now, lol. After my last auction wins I was intending on shutting it down for a few months but a 15% off everything sale will make it tough. I mentioned on your other thread that ill look at Champag...

Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't paying attention to NH lately. Champagne would definately be on my list. Krug 168 is still there and I'd like to add a few more bottles. It would net to about $127/btl. The holidays also did a number my remaining Pol Roger NV and would net to $38. I'm passing on 201...

I haven't sold wine in a few years since the demise of Wine Commune but have started to think about unloading a few things. You have 3 or maybe 4 options. Auction, private sale, outright sale to a reseller or trade. Auctioning is the easiest. You consign, they sell and you get paid. Both the seller ...

We also opened a 1986 Ch Beychevelle which was excellent with much of what I look for in an aged bordeaux. I was also inter...

Queuing any bottles up for Christmas?

This year due to the current circumstances it will only be 3 of us for dinner. We'll see my oldest daughter and grandkids in the morning for brunch and my son will be with his fiance at her parents. Occasionally when they finally relent and drop their drawers on closeout you can really make out as with ...
