Jeff bought all the distributor had and blew it all out in a couple of hours during a Saturday tasting
I was fighting for the last couple of bottles..........this was one of those lucky really good deals that do not happen often enough

I had the 95 Tinto Pesquera, Ribera de Duero last night and it was diffently earthy and rustic......I too was wondering if it was corked but then said Nope I think this is just how this wine tastes. I have one more in my cellar - If I recall correctly i would say this wine was much better 5 plus yea...

Jeff ( who you meet at PLL dinner- I think) openned one at a Spanish dinner we did at TCG ........we also had a 04 Numanthia and the Termanthia was definitely the big brother that night Mark and I like it so much we bought his last two "2 packs" for $175 per/btl I think it was the 04 Terma...

Michael Have you had the 04 Numanthia? It is the best I have come across - not had the 98. Not farmiliar with "Maurodos San Roman ('01 is fantastic, in particular) and Dos Victorias Gran Elias Moro (again, '01 is highly recommended)" I will look for these if they are better than Numanthia ...

I like the 03 better too A freind brought a 95 Pontet over last night...............this was open and ready to drink...better than the 04 We had the 2000 Lynch Bages for dinner........the initial nose was was very smokey...this blew off and the fruit and integrated tannins were excellent...........h...

Have you seen the Mas de Boislauzon in Chicago? was this the regular bottle or single vineyard?


The 07s are so good to drink now I am just not sure they need to cellar for years....I tend to agree not sure they will last 15-20 yrs as RP suggests
