Re: SF '11 any theme?

I am also on a spouse supportive HCG diet
This HCG diet may kill me..........about 4 weeks serious then another 3 wks more moderate However no wine for all 7 weeks
so while not as good of shape as Jim I should be rather healthy and thinner at the end

TN: Recent Bordeaux wines

2004 Château Rieussec - France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes (12/19/2010) Based on initial sip I thought the notes below were going to come true (Intense, intense. Apricot, almonds, brown sugar, but beautifully balanced with bracing acid. Long finish) and this would be a great bottle however aft...

TN: Some recent Non Bordeaux wines that needed to be openned

1997 Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Hengst - France, Alsace, Wintzenheim, Alsace Grand Cru AOC (12/19/2010) the recent notes below describe this well....lots of fun with lobster and crab...the suggested drinking window had me worried - this has some good years left but no reason to wait to drink my ...

Jim
your post had me grab an 02 Lagrange out of the celler...only a few left out of my case

dark, solid bordeaux nose, tannins but gobs of chewy fruit, I picked up chocolate and coffer on the long finish
very drinkable day two but I think was better day 1 after an hour

Re: TN: Little BXs, an 07 CNDP and an un-03 03BX!

We tried a number of top 07 CDPs at BWE2010 in Chicago at the Capital Grille on Friday night - every single one was excellent and deserving of high scores. We also worked hard with staff to prepare the wines properly for us. May be a palate diiference but I continue to tap into the 07s and have yet ...

Great fun!!! to continue the fun I drank the rest of a bottle of 86 GL and the 82 SM tonight - a small pour of each was left. Maybe it was because I was not overwhelmed with dozens of great wines. I was so delighted to have a few mouthfuls of each of the wines tonight. To me each was better than las...
