Although, of course, I think it was at its best when it was REALLY young, like around 2000.

Boy, I know, Jon, but it's not just the recent insanity, it's the Mussolini-like fascist thuggery we saw in Trump's campaign crowds, the "beat him up, throw him out" chants, etc. And our Supreme Court is on board, too. We are in a time of thug politics, where niceties are getting us absolu...

The 1990 Lagrange came in second place to the ‘89 Lynch on that memorable night in Chicago in February 2001, just ahead of the ‘89 Purple Baron. It is my second favorite vintage of Lagrange, behind only the 2007.

Right... But how about this simple Premier Cru?
And I'm not just talking about 2005.
I'd like to buy the 2015, for example, but it doesn't seem to exist.

I have indeed drunk a lot of bottles of the 2005 Jadot, from both 750 and 375. One of the all-time greatest deals in my wine purchasing history.

I have only 4 bottles left of this splendid 2005 Jadot.
As I look online I see all kinds of options, anniversary bottlings, etc., etc.
I just don't see this bottle out there anymore.

Ha!! That’s amazing Danny, I swear I said the exact thing to myself yesterday.
I’m done. Too expensive. I’m going to be 60 this fall.
I’m rounding out my cellar with 2014, 2015, and 2016.
2017 is just too expensive.
No regrets. That’s just life. It’s been a good run.

I have one bottle of 1996 Lynch left, my recollection from the last bottle several years ago is that it was on the downslope then.
This was great when it was young, but should have been consumed within its first 15 years.
