I am starting to have some self-control difficulties.
I hereby grant you blanket BWE fast exemption through the summer Marcus.

I have ten. The problem with drinking one of them is that it will leave me with only 9 in a bin that holds ten.
And you know what that means.

Re: The 2014 Cos d'Estournel has been uncorked.

What I liked about the Cos was that it was true the terroir. It was very classic Cos, classic St. Estephe. Again, whether that is because of the nature of the great 2014 left bank vintage or a reflection of altered winemaking technique or a combination of both I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking...

The 2014 Cos d'Estournel has been uncorked.

I'll soon be acquiring six bottles of this at a great price.
It is a profound wine, worth every penny, but I must say that i prefer the '14 Ducru on a style basis.

I don't have any 2000 Duhart Milon in my cellar but I'm wondering when I should crack open my case of 2005s. Probably blanquito it at least x 1. i also have a 2002 6L that I'll bet would be drinking well, I have a big wedding on Cape Cod to go to at the end of July, I wonder if this would be the tim...

Re: Dom Pérignon visit and two great Champagnes

That 2008 Dom is indeed absolutely delicious, a big gap between the ‘08 and ‘09. Yeah, this is the “year of the four homicide cases,” we got the first one dismissed last month, now we are working on the second, the Alaska case promises to be the grand finale. After that I will retire from full time ...

Marcus, the federal criminal justice sytstem in particular is really scary. I don't do a lot of federal work but I've seen some terrible abuses at that level. BWE in Alaska

I'll be traveling to Alaska soon for my Steven Downs murder case. I think I'll keep a blog on the case here. What wine goes well with Alaska salmon? I agree on the 04 Clerc.
I have one bottle left from a full case.
In the early days it was a pretty rough wine but in recent years it has smoothed out into a beautiful Pauillac.

The recent prices I’ve paid for 2014s have been great:

Lynch, $91
Baron, $99
Lalonde, $99
Ducru: $116
Clerc, $52

I got a case or nearly a case of each.
It’s my kind of vintage!

It’s going to live a long time but the fruit of the wine and character of the vintage are a great combination here.
