Re: SF Convention: Response from the Omni. SF.

Don't include me as I booked the Omni through Hotwire to see the hotel and the rate. I agree that the La Meridien is a great price and a nice hotel. Go for it.

I was surprised how ridiculous the price was.

Re: SF Convention: Response from the Omni. SF.

I guess they rethought their position overnight. Still higher than I got it on Hotwire. Good Morning William, I hope you are having a nice day. Just below I have quoted rates listed for each of the needed reservations. These room rate quotes are all based on a Deluxe category room with a King sized ...

Convention Hotel. Would the Following BWErs check in.

I am trying to get a group rate at the Omni. Would the following people tell me: 1. If they are interested in the Omni, 2. Their dates of arrival and departure. The rate has not been set but I believe to be in the low $200s from my conversation with the hotel. Danny + Danielle Tim + 1 hm$ + Lisa + 1...

Re: SF Hotel ?

I would like to help. What I need is, for those who are coming and want a hotel, tell me the dates of your stay. The Omni won't negotiate until I have at least 10 rooms to book and we don't have that. Mahalo to the five friends who have responded.

SF Convention: Response from the Omni. SF.

This is the Omni's response to my inquiry email, I would need to know: 1. interest in the Omni. 2. If Trivago's price is valid. 3. Information to respond to this email that is, your travel schedules. "Hello William, Thank you so much for considering the Omni San Francisco Hotel for your upcomin...

Re: SF Hotel ?

I just booked at the Omni. I did it through Hotwire which is a blind bind. Two nights at $207 a night with fees it comes to $520 for two nights. This was more expensive than Trivago.com but I was gambling to see if I could get the Hotel Vitale (the only Hotwire 4.5 hotels in the FD were Omni or Vita...

I have approached the Omni about a group rate. I tend to agree with everyone that the Palace rate is an error. It is a good hotel but not at its normal rate.

Re: SF Hotel ?

The Griffon is the closest to the event but as you know, you get what you pay for. It is a great location for a long morning walk along the bay, very close to the Ferry Building. The Omni is over by the BofA Building on California ST. and about 8 or 9 blocks. I've heard nice things about it. Price i...

Willamette Valley, Aug. 21. Eclipse.

I'm planning to be in the Willamette Valley for the eclipse of August 21. Arriving on the 18th and leaving on the 22nd. Totality starts just at McMinnville and south. St. Innocent and Cristom will be in Totality at 10:10 am or so. I have rented a place up by Penner Ash and Bergstrom out of Newberg. ...

Isn't that true for every great vintage?

BTW Tom, Loxton's offering this year were great, especially the chard, syrahs and the pioneer blend.

Re: Two beauties from 1982

I loved the 82 Sociando. As I recall, it cost about $7.00 in 1984. I bought 6. If I'd only knew how wonderful it would become later in life, I would have bought more. But I was young to wine. Though in the first 10 years,it was a beast. Once it calmed down, for me it was a 10 on a 10 scale. Happy Ne...

Jim, my take, the article is not about St Innocent, it's about great vineyards. It happens that SI sources from all these. So the question is, you have good material, can you make a good wine.
