indeed, felix, you'd think Ducru + 1996 might be something special but I have drunk through an entire case now and I just don't recall being wowed by a single one. The last bottle I had was with MichaelP in NYC a couple years ago and it was ehhh.

Re: 2000 Sociando Mallet: Stunning.
It means it needs another 5 years, BH2K, as Blanquito often likes his wines on the older side.
To double blanquito or triple blanquito a wine means to hold it for 10 or 15 years respectively, etc.
To "how" a wine means to drink it young, as I, JimHow, often like to drink my wines young.

2000 Sociando Mallet: Stunning.
This wine is flat out brilliant. I've had it a number of times, this may have been the best yet. The greenness has toned down but still defines the wine. At age 19 it is still youthful but it is debatable whether it needs to be blanquitoed. That would be a matter of style preference. It has an earth...

I'll be trying two manslaughter cases and this Alaska murder case in the coming months. My practice has really exploded exponentially in the past decade, from local, to statewide, now national. This case will be possibly the biggest challenge of my career. More good news: The Blue Demon hit 300,000 ...

Good question, David. I've visited Notre Dame and been amazed as much as anyone. I know the basics of its history, but not great detail. How much of the existing structure is 800 years old. If it is rebuilt, is it really Notre Dame? This past weekend Gio brought out empty bottles of '89 Haut Brion, ...

Will do, JC, I intend to monitor the NH system closely.
As you know, sometimes they don't always have everything posted in their online inventory. (Although, it is usually pretty accurate.)
If you hear of any more good Italian sales at Zachy's let me know.

Really nice fruit, very friendly, welcoming, and smooth for a Brunello in such infancy. No rough edges.

Yeah, that was one of the epic four-day periods in the history of BWE.
That 1989 Petrus was one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted.
And that '59 d'Yquem was as sensuous a wine as I've ever experienced.
