2012 Haut Bergey… A very solid effort.

I know I am repeating myself over and over, but these wines are the real deal! Just real solid, early drinking stuff. Very enjoyable. Medium bodied, 12.5%. This is not La Mission but it is just a real pretty wine, at $22.99 a superb deal. Can't recommend it enough. I bought 6 more bottles of 2012 Ba...

Yes, I seem to remember paying something in that range in NH. Those were the days. Ah, those were the days, my friend…. TN 2004 Clerc Milon

I cracked open my case a year or two ago and have had this several times now, in several settings: Sometimes over a couple hours during a nice meal, other times at a family gathering with other wines up against it. This wine has been consistently excellent. It is a classically styled Pauillac in a m...

Hey my client who was acquitted today after a tough jury trial would disagree with that statement.
Not sure whether I've ever had this wine.

That 2002 Gloria is a stunner, I appreciate you're directing me to it Patrick, and I'm really kicking myself for only buying 5 bottles of it in DC.

I had a 2002 Cos from the DC heist last night, it took forever to open up but once it did it was a classic.

Gerry the Nashua store told me they have the 2005 Dom in stock, I'll make a run down there after July 1st, they're doing their annual $25 grift certificate for all purchases over $150 deal. Thanks anyway. The 2005 Dom is real nice.

Very nicely done indeed Jacques. 2010 Cantemerle would have run away with WOTY honors but it was at a disadvantage due to having already received the award for the 2005 vintage.

2012 Barde-Haut is now back in stock at MacArthur's for $26.99, an excellent deal.

I don't think too many people were kicking Jay's 1986 Mouton out of bed at the Thursday night dinner in Sonoma in 2006, still perhaps the most epic finish I have ever experienced, rivaled only by the '89 Lynch ad '90 Margaux.

The seductive cocoa and milk chocolate of 2005 Barde-Haut

Adding to my previous very high impressions of this stellar wine: This wine has a very appealing cocoa, milk chocolate element to it that I didn't necessarily pick up on the first go around. Lots of sediment too in the end. Otherwise, I repeat everything I said in my previous review, about the earth...
