Re: The 2012 Chateau Corbin has been uncorked….

I definitely have that Mad Men look going on in the Chateau Corbin picture.

I took a couple selfies with a couple of my fellow "country lawyer" criminal defense lawyers the other day, one in court with George Hess, and the other after hours with Don Hornblower…. Much more 1969….

Re: The 2012 Chateau Corbin has been uncorked….

LOVE this wine, I have six more 750s in the cellar and I'm about to pull the trigger on another dozen half bottles from MacArthur's. Also, I tasted the 2012 Barde Haut ONE more time in 2016 last night. Outstanding, yet again. Danny, Ian, Maureen or Tim, can you post some of the pictures here from ou...

Very nice youthful nose upon immediate opening.

Yes Tim that's the one I have. I remember in the late nineties when I was discovering and learning about the wines of the Medoc I was in awe of his summaries of the estates and his notes on the ancient vintages.

Yes Ian it is definitely young and modern. But I'm pretty sure I would recognize it as Bordeaux, from the nose and the color alone. 2004 Malescot St. Exupery

Cracked open the case, popped, and poured. Still very youthful. Deep, dark purple/black color. The bouquet bloomed beautifully. It borders on a "big" wine to me. Earthy, has the type of edge to it that we would come to expect from the 2004 vintage. It seems like a nice merging between trad...
