Re: UN POINT C'EST TOUT ! par la Pépinière Berillon

I just watched the first five minutes, will finish it over the weekend. I'm curious to get to the ending and its conclusions. I'm honestly wondering whether I am going to be more positive or more depressed. I wonder what Dom Perignon would think? I think he used to harvest In November, no? Thanks fo...

Definitely a bigger, richer, fruit-forward wine than the 2019....
That is in no way intended as a criticism of 2019, it is just a distinctively different style.

I'm telling you, 2019 Cantemerle at $28 is about as good a deal as you'll find out there. It's a property whose style I love at a very nice price.

Re: My wine cellar

Ha yes that Petrus was one of the first bottles I purchased when I started collecting, I got it for $275 in New Hampshire, I'll never forget the woman cracking open the (lone) case (in the New Hampshire system) in front of me and asking, "How many do you want?" Like an idiot, I said, "...

2020 La Lagune for me was brilliant, my La Lagune epiphany, seriously, after 24 years, it finally dawned on me what the mighty stefan sees in this, the property that shall otherwise remain nameless.

Nice Bill. I found that fruit forward profile with the 2020 Sociando and to a lesser extent the 2020 Langoa. I really like the 2020 La Lagune.

Re: Hey Gerry, those Celtics are looking good, anything interesting going on in the New Hampshire stores?

Thanks G, I'll probably pop down to Portsmouth on Wednesday and see if there's any interesting French wines in stock. I left those two Montrose for you in Nashua, I have 15 bottles of 2019 Montrose, that should last me a while. I think there are a few bottles left in Portsmouth but I'll hold off on ...

Well done, Claudius2, very well done indeed.

Whether 94 points or 90 points, Ognik, I'm buying another dozen bottles of 2019 Meyney!

Passive cellar, it stays cool year round up here in the great state of Maine.
I've added more Dom Perignon since the video, I need more whit Burgundy for summer lobster.
I want to get more red Burgundy, when are the 2022s hitting the shelves?

Seems like the Granite State went quiet with the 2019 vintage, if so that was a big mistake....

If the Celtics stay healthy, we could be in for a(nother) banner!

Re: The 2019 Chateau Meyney has been uncorked and other ramblings....

What was it, a couple years ago, the Farr's tasters sipped the recently bottled 2019 Bordeaux and, without any equivocation, declared it "the greatest vintage ever." And I said, ok, that's great, but come on, how can you declare a vintage the "greatest ever" when you are tasting ...

Yes I'm not sure whether light on its feet is the correct term, but I'm really enjoying how this vintage seems to be beautifully ripe but not heavy. That 2019 Cantemerle from the other night was so smooth. It just seems to me this vintage combines the best traits of multiple different types of vinta...

Man, I'm telling you, these 2019s are beautiful. I know I keep saying this, but this is the best Corbin I've ever had. It has beautiful ripeness but nonetheless classy, nothing over the top. This is a lovely, serious wine. Very St. Emilion. Rating: 94 points.
