Re: Mass shooting Lewiston, our BD's hometown

Feels like the context of the Lewiston tragedy is not the right setting to be talking about BWE internal politics, and like Joel suggested I think we should move that discussion to the other thread. Just want to reiterate how rich and thoughtful Jim's interview was. It really helped me understand hi...

I agree that the context of the Lewiston tragedy and Jim dealing with that was not the setting to bring this up. We'll discuss this all later no doubt but my personal view is that BWE is all of us. As long as we all post here and take the initiative to set up social wine events with each other, this...

I don’t think the world is any worse than it ever was, and in some ways it is better, but there is a LOT more media devoted to bringing the worst of it not just to our door but hot-wiring it into our minds through our phones. That part is new. I spend a lot of time reading history, always been a hob...

Saw some interesting data on this from Burgundy Report (https://www.burgundy-report.com/discover-burgundy/hotandcold/). Measured by average daytime temperature 2018 was the second hottest Burgundy vintage since the 70s, three-tenths of a degree C behind 2020 but only one-tenth of a C ahead of 2019. ...

Surprised by this note as I really liked this wine. It had great structure and substance with those 2010 tannins but at the same time had an “easy” and balanced quality with a lot of elegance. However I didn’t come to it with any expectations of “Cordier funk” or the like - GL has been a clean wine ...
