Patrick, I understand your point but I have a hard time describing Pichon, Rausan, Montrose, or Gruaud as lower wines. They are second growths. However in the spirit of your post I would add 1983 Palmer.

SI Chardonnays are good but not the best Oregon has to offer. I prefer Walter Scott and Lingua Franca. Though be warned, Lingua Franca is not a QPR. You pay for the quality. I also like Roserock Chards. Made by Drouhin, they offer a better price point since they are not "estate" wines. Bill
