Re: NWR: What is the worst movie of all time?
Really a pointless exercise for me. I usually leave a movie after fifteen minutes if I'm suffering. I can't remember the last time I sat and suffered though a whole movie. Even that junk Avatar had redeeming value because the special effects were so cool. My kids love the Hangover, Date Night and a...
Re: OMG Wine
I suspect a perfect cellar may provide different results. Mine is a passive cellar ranging from 58F in deepest Winter to near 69F in hottest Summer.
So YMMV.

Re: 2007 Bordeaux... Thoughts.
I've had several 2005 Bordeaux, all have been very satisfactory to excellent. Many have been less than $20, some less that $15. Just good damn wine. Comparitively. Smooth yet complex and drinkable but with the ability to last. Damn fine year it seems. Drink around any you have and keep your 2005's. ...

Re: Barolo and barbaresco at Kittle House
Interesting. But upon reading, it doesn't matter the vintner nor the year, it's the vintner AND the year. I've enjoyed that grape from many a place and many a year and many a vintner. Nebbiolo is a fine grape for wine.
OMG Wine
Best wines I've been having of late are 1996 Cote-Rotie. Different vintners but all I've had have blown my palate. Weren't cheap when I bought them Back When and no idea how expensive now, but marvelous even in my cellar. Those of you with them in some '55 degree' cellar, look forward to 10 more yea...

I had this wine just the other day. I bought 6 of them Way Back When. $36 or thereabouts. 3 left. Didn't find it oakey at all, didn't find it particularly Margaux either, just a nice wine. $65 though after 10 years and the lauded 2000 vintage (or has that been revised?) and pretty much tells the tal...

Not sure how this vintage nor this wine was received but I like it. Has that 'really well made' quality to it just from the nose. Slightly floral, red fruits, a nip (tannins?), forest\mushrooms, something deeper. very deep red in color. Some graphite in there. Smooth-ish but needing food. Heck, in m...

Jim,
Like I said, due to the rarity. Often I can realize the taste of a nice well blended Bordeaux and rare the taste of a true Burgundy.
St. Innocent in Oregon the same, kinda, for the New World Pinot Noir's. I've got some 1998's or 1999's that rock my world, but they ain't Burgundy.
