Rarely buy small production names but would consider La Conseillante if pricing is reasonable.

I found the bitter tart cherry character in the 2016 Lanessan as well...didn't significantly improve over a four hour window..not sure i was a fan, but not giving it a fair opportunity to age and integrate would be unfair.

Re: Who are your favorite wines and producers in Tuscany?
Best experience with Italian wine for me was a 1996 Masseto from a 3 liter bottle. Was gifted to me by a friend who was ITB at the time he asked me to help him out with making purchase decisions on higher end wines for his shoppes. I remember inky dark fruit and a real depth in the wine that few win...

70's is the new 50's. You've survived many health issues, the coronavirus and many brutal opponents in the courtroom. If i were you i'd be buying as much wine as possible as it is apparently keeping you alive through the many challenges in your life. you are eternal my friend.

Re: Who are your favorite wines and producers in Tuscany?
Have never tasted a Caparzo or Barbi that would have me going back to look for more. They are fine wines, and i could see how one could enjoy them, but i find some tartness and astringency that isn't pleasing to my palate. Ciacci Piccolomini on the other hand does a fantastic job with their Brunello...

Re: Who are your favorite wines and producers in Tuscany?
Nipozzano brings back memories. Used to see those for under $12 and they never disappointed for the QPR. Brunello prices have come down and the Super Tuscan hype has faded with pricing coming down there as well. I enjoy a good Brunello (Siro Pacenti recently was a real treat) once every few months, ...
