Re: President Trump

We'll watch, but I don't want to waste a good bottle of wine on the debate. I was thinking of drinking Tequila laced with Vodka and Cointreau. I'm wondering if a quart of each is enough.

I like the NSGs from Gouges. They can be hard as nails when young, but it sounds like the 2010 have already come around.

Nic, I think that many 2019 Oregon PNs are attractive now. Right now I am sipping on 2019 St Innocent Heritage, which is a blend of juice from Shea, Freedom Hill, Temperance Hill, and Momtazi. As such, it does not have the distictiveness of a single vineyard wine, but it is complex, with some of the...

1986 Celtics. One of the all time best front courts, and not shabby in the back, either. Not even close, IMO.

Dynasty for this team? What have you been smoking? There are too many strong teams now for any team to have a dynasty. Even with an easy win this year, the point total of the Mavs was higher than that of the Cs over the first four games.

Yuch! I hope that the Mavs can do something never done previously. But it will take a lot more than Luka magic.

I am undecided as to who most deserves the MVP. I am torn between Joe Mazzulla and Brad Stevens, but am leaning toward the latter.

Re: Limited wine experiences in Europe

The people I know from Belgium drank beer from age four and turned to wine as teen agers (while not giving up beer, of course). Some cafes in Belgium have "baby beer" on the menu. Not a bad idea, as I never heard young children cry when at a cafe.

Yes, indeed, Jim.

I saw on WineSearcher that the 2017 Niellon you bought is available one place in WA state for $105. 'Course that does not mean it is really available for $105. $150 is more the norm. MacArthur has the current release (2022) for $109.

The earlier the better for us as we will go from Texas to Oregon in the fall, probably not long after early voting begins. From Houston to DC there are direct flights. There are not from Eugene, so carrying wine is much more risky.

The prosecutors could not vote to convict. The judge could not vote to convict. ALL of the 12 jurors voted to convict. The jurors were vetted by Trump's very expensive attorneys. 23% of NYC voters voted for Trump in 2000. Surely some of the jurors were among those. Appeals courts will decide whether...

1988 Lafite is indeed wonderful, but the last time I drank it, around six years ago IIRC, my bottle was completely out shown by some of Francois' trophies and Tim's 1969 La Tache (which Tim bought & brought because he knew it was on my bucket list).
