Any follow up on the 2016 Gloria? have seen bottles floating around at $45 and thinking of putting some away based on this last note and other notes suggesting a very successful effort

2017 may just be another 2014 and perhaps better. it is squeezed in between a very successful 2016 and what seems to be a stellar 2018 vintage. these 3 vintages will represent a good bit of my Bordeaux for the next 3 years until calling it quits and enjoying what is being cellared

Invite DJT to the next DC BWE event and see whether he really likes US wine over French wine. Double blind Cali Cab vs. Bordeaux. Maybe this time he will make a judgement call with pertinent information rather than shooting from the hip. The proof is in the pudding.

Cant wait to hear about your final acquisitions....the end of one era is also the start of another one...specifically enjoying them with friends and family....A friend in town raids his dad's cellar on a regular basis...the dad is well stocked up on 1986, 1989 and 1990 Bordeaux....and apparently nev...

One of the tastiest Bordeauxs i've ever drank. The aromas of the fruit that emanate from the glass is nothing short of enticing. Tremendous depth of fruit here with sweet blueberry and plum flavors with a twist of smoke and chocolate truffle notes. The body is just right and the wine tip toes though...

Drank a bottle of the 2000 Sociando this weekend.....Very much Sociando characteristics including dark mineral(ly) fruit with black licorice twist... more refined than the more chunky 1996....Possibly the mid weight can give the illusion of greatness and balance, but it lacks depth.....i thought it ...

Perhaps this subject had been discussed in the past, but i couldn't locate anything recent. Wine Library is offering 2016 Fonbadet for $30 with free shipping on case buy. Pretty good value in relation to California Cabs priced at this level. Jim sounds like another positive review for 2016. Winex shows the La Dame Montrose at $37 and i just don't think that is unreasonable for a wine of su...

Arv i also picked up the minty notes in the 2000 Chauvin. was not as wowed by it as you seem to be. thought it was a bit disjointed and lacked depth, although the fruit was there. it is a good wine in a different price bracket (i picked up the 2000 under $30) at $50 i'd rather be drinking 2016 Lango...

Cote Roties are great and rarely disappoint. The QPR, although they are not always inexpensive, is still skewed to benefit the consumer. Sounds like your example was no different. Had my last bottle of 1998 Jamet in March and it was like drinking flowers integrated into grape juice. The wine had lay...

if you see some compelling deals in NH please share. Would love to put a few cases in the cellar as i've not bought any Bordeaux since 2010 vintage.
I've missed some early offerings at prices somewhat lower than what the market commands today, so being hawkish finding deals.
