Re: Any iPhone experience with this site yet?
Have you tried doing a hard refresh? It could be that your Treo (not heard of them before btw) has cached part of the stylesheet or something.

Re: Any iPhone experience with this site yet?
OK I've changed the code for the header slightly so it should display properly on an iPhone - I can't be sure of this as I've only got an iPhone emulator, not the real thing - but it should stop the search box coming down and getting messed up with some of the navigation. Can someone confirm this? M...

I've been more impressed with phpBB than any other piece of open-source software I've used. Really powerful, usable and with lovely well-written and well-commented code.Joe Belmaati wrote:I commend the tech guys on going with a phpBB installation. It's amazing what can be had for nothing.

Wikipedia reveals that may be some sort of quip about the delay in the site opening. Am I right Ian?

Yeah I think we should consider this. Would be nice to have user accounts seamlessly linked so it'll take a bit of work. Couple of other things to do first though.tim wrote:Any options to have a chat room linked?

Re: BWE Archive
The posts have been copied by Bill's system so they'll survive the demise of MSN Groups. It's just that currently his site returns search results that link to the original post, so i'm asking him to change it so it shows the entire post so it's not necessary to go to MSN to view it (which will of co...

Re: BWE Archive
I've contacted Bill and I think he's going to change his BWE search site so it returns full posts instead of links to MSN. He also should be sending me the "directory tree" so I can access the raw data to see if I can do anything with it. I say "think" because I've not heard back...

OK I've made the changes; in summary: Deleted all other forums except this one (moved CT topic from that forum to this one first) and renamed this forum "Forum". Changed forum link in menu so that it goes straight to this forum and not the "top-level", i.e so users don't have to ...

Re: Rearranging site
Oh, and Cellar Tracker integration doesn't need it's own page. If/when we get that going what will happen is that when someone posts a TN on CT, they'll have an option to post it to BWE as well, then it'll appear here as a new topic in the forum. Is that how you envisioned it? Want to make sure we'r...

Re: Rearranging site
I meant to put the links to those pages in the menu bar between 'Home' and 'Forum', I'll do little icons for them as well like I have for the forum link, that way they'll be always accesible. This is pretty quick to do, and I think it'd be better to get it set up this way before we open the site to ...

Rearranging site
It's just occured to me that it'd probably be better to have Retailers and BWE Archive as a separate page linked to in the menu (like the home page) that way we can just have the one discussion thread/forum, like in the old BWE. How does that sound? CT Integration I'm going to be working on and I sh...

Thanks

Re: BWE Archive
Was it Billo who set up the BWE search? His program does pretty much exactly what we want to do now, I would think he could change it so that it indexed entire posts and allowed searching/viewing without linking back to the original post. Is he still in touch Jim? If we can get an archive of the sit...

Re: "Report this post" button
Good point! I spose one situation where it might be useful though is when we have a lot of users and Moderators might miss unwanted posts and someone else could report them. I've reported your post as a test, can you let me know if you get an email or something? I'm not really sure how it works ATM.
