LB=BWE for me as I seem to drink it at most get togethers. I have a single mag of the 89 purchased on release to be saved for a gathering unless I drink the whole thing by myself (I kid of course).

Great gathering and welcome mrico. If my fading memory is correct, I remember popping a bottle of 2000 LB late one night in our BD's hotel room with MichaelP and Tom from (used to be ) DC. This was during the convention in Glen Ellen. We all agreed that the future would be wearing wear shades for th...

Nothing too special except for a wonderful bottle of 2002 Krug. Beautiful floral notes with a super long finish. Drinking so well now but not going anyplace. The only bummer is this was a solo bottle.

One of many mistakes our EX president made was adopting a go it alone stance on trade with China. I hope Biden seeks cooperation from other countries as I think it might be much more effective. Tariffs alone are not the answer.

One friend claims that there is little or no difference between decanting then double decanting back into the bottle vs. letting the wine sit in the carafe for hours. That is, pouring the wine from bottle into the carafe (decanter) introduces so much air into the system that additional air time in ...

A nice dinner indeed, Krug is always a nice starter. Yes, the lack of socialization is very tiresome but we will persevere. I brought a 99 Rieussec to my London dinner BC with Ian and his wine group. Young but enjoyable.
