Re: What are we drinking in lockdown?

I had another bottle of the 2017 PYCM VERGELESSES COMBOTTES Blanc, which I picked up on sale for $42, and I am kicking myself for not buying a case. This is a sensational white burg, it checks all of the boxes for me. I suppose in its relative youth it lacks is some complexity (and if nitpicking, it...

Re: President Trump

Setting aside models and the details of day to day polling, I’m feeling good about Biden still for a few simple reasons: -the overall polling has been extraordinarily steady for months, showing Biden with a big lead nationally and a persistent advantage in a good number of key battleground states. -...

Super jealous! I bought just a few of these as futures ($45 per, sob) as I wasn’t really a Magdelaine guy that far back. But that’s it.

Have you tried the 05?

Re: Aging time of 6L vs 750ml

A (hopefully relevant) aside, is it just me, is there no perfect alternative to a 750 ml? A 375ml is just usually not enough wine even for 1 person, unless one truly wants just a single (big) glass (and we’ve banned those people from all self-respecting wine boards). Maybe a 500 ml would be useful. ...

I would have bought some 16 Beychevelle, Marcus, but for the pricing — I bought the 16 Branaire and 16 Langoa Barton instead as they were $35-$40 cheaper... Jim’s maps illustrate perfectly why PA is so crucial — even in Trump’s best case scenario, he only wins if he takes PA. If Biden holds PA, there’s no feasible EC map for him even if everything else goes his way . And Biden is +7.5 in PA with a week to go and an apparently record-breaking turnout ele...

I have almost 2500 bottles and that’s like a 11-12 year supply in my household if we keep plowing through at the same rate (which is unlikely I guess as I am about to start my 50s)

That post claims that the electorate is evenly divided, which if true would result in a roughly 50-50 chance of victory for both candidates (ignoring the realities of the Electoral College), but that’s why we poll!
