Thanks, Gail, but I am allergic to tours. I did look at the site, though, and noticed this frightening warning:

With the Butcher Block at the Wood Tavern we drank 1978 Clerc Milon. This wine is definitely past its prime, but it still has some fruit and the muted secondary and tertiary characteristics made it worth drinking. stefan 85. Judd 89. Lucie 90. T 89. At Dry Creek Kitchen, a Charlie Palmer restaurant in Healdsburg, we started with an off the menu sparkler: 1999 Robert Hunter Blanc de Noir. All of us would have assumed that this was a Champagne if we had drunk it blind. It has sufficient toast and yeast to appeal to Lucie and the taste is quite cl...

Thanks, guys.

The Le Mesnil was not a Krug. There is a small Champagne house called Le Mesni which produces a Blanc de Blancs that is all Grand Cru. I had never drunk one before (and, given Lucie's reaction to it, probably never will again).

Before those we'll drink a '99 Potel Cuvee Paget Hospice de Nuits wine. Champagne to start, of! course. For lunch Lucie and I drank 1997 Pierre Amiot Morey St Denis. I...
