Alex from what i've read up to date on Pessac Leognan, the region did especially well in 2016. Did you find consistency tasting any 2016 wines in the region during your recent trip?

JC i had a note on the Fombrauge from a small sample at a local wine shop. it was a good wine with a good bit of fruit not unlike a number of 2016's. i only bought a bottle of it as i thought it was a wine i'd like to try again in a few years. if it was under $30 i'd be a buyer, but i had a better n...

Your plea for exemption at this level may not be an appropriate venue. 63 Santi is almost holy. I will leave this to the BD, but its very possible that the Vatican may need to render this decision.

Here's what's interesting. Sociando is only trading 30% more than what we paid in 1999-2000 for the 1996...That is very fair pricing given 20 years of built in inflation...Even at 3% compounded per year, the wine costs less in terms of purchasing power today than it did 20 years ago. I'm with Jim......

The 2000 seems to share some of the characteristics of the 99 and I dont find chocolate and layered fruit a bad thing.
