Re: TN: 2006 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet (Australia, South Eastern)

They were serving the Koonunga Hill Cab at a business function the other night. It wasn't bad & went well with the beef they served for dinner. Not everything Penfolds went downhill with the Southcorp purchase. There's a lot of really good wines being made (e.g. St. Henri Shiraz, some of the 3-d...

Re: Private messages

One thing about PMs in this software - they stay in your "Outbox" until they are read by the recipient. If they are not showing up there then something went wrong.

Re: Do rhones really cut it?

I am generally a big fan of Rhones, but the last two I opened (2001 Boisrenard & 2001 Pegau Laurence) did nothing for me. THe Boisrenard was pruney and soupy, and the Pegau Laurence smelled like old wood and not much else.

Re: My Top Ten Favorite Moments from the "Old" BWE

David,

If you want words instead of a URL you do the following:

[*url=the website adress]the words you want as the hyperlink[/url*]

I put the * in there so that you could see the code.

Re: Anyone here on Facebook?

Otto - the Monkees were bad, therefore they should be right up your alley. We'll just get ALKO to jack up the price on their CDs. (tongue firmly in cheek)

Oh - and I am on Facebook. It's been useful a few times.

Re: Auto-link to CellarTracker

FYI - based on being involved (though not on the programming end) with another site using this same software, I think you need three letters to cue the search system, so TN won't work. THat's why (elsewhere) we went to WTN. It's not a big deal, but useful in trying to narrow searches.

Re: TN: 2001 Selbach Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese

The '01 Rieslings are going to develop long before the '94 Ports do. Some '01s are moving along nicely, while others (e.g. a 2001 Catoir Spatlese I had last Thursday) are going nowhere fast (but being very beautiful while doing it). It's really a wine to wine thing. Lots of kabinett and spatlese lev...

Re: Avatars

What? You don't want Landreth and Livingston joining & using salacious avatars for their enjoyment? Elitists (and thank God for that!!!).

I love my Canadian Rockies avatars, but can live without them no problem.

Re: Any iPhone experience with this site yet?

It works in other fora using this same set up, so I'm sure it's a problem that can be tackled.

If it works here it might work on WLDG...hopefully Eric can share any solution (for non-Bordeaux tasting notes of course!).

Re: Auto-link to CellarTracker

Eric, Robin Garr and I spent a lot of time trying to find a workaround for CellarTracker with this software. We never found it.
