SF '11 - group hotel?

I need a hotel for San Francisco.......

With the 12 hour time difference between SF and Dubai, its more difficult for me to arrange. Who is good at this and is willing to take up the task? Seems like someone always got us nice and reasonably priced places in past. Thanks.

2010 Pomerol?

Living in the desert sands, I don't get much time to follow the vineyard harvest news, but I read some small one liner that suggested these may potentially be great. Any better data? Not that I should really be buying such young wines....Thanks.

TNs - mixed bag blind wine dinner 14 Jan 2011

Dubai – 14 January 2011 – Hosting our typical little blind wine dinner party for 6 friends here, this time the group was: American, Italian, Polish, South African, Lebanese and two French. As is the practice, all bottles were wrapped blind and opened about 60 minutes before consumption. And a differ...

Alex: Thanks for the great TNs and I can almost taste that 74. It's like a lot of uninspiring old wines, with some interesting characterisitics and perhaps more appealing to wine crazy people like us than your average pedestrian. 05 Ch. I agree with all the advice above, plus pay attention to the descriptions. A case of something with levels at mid-shoulder and missing/damaged labels will sell for less (sometimes a lot less) than perfect condition bottles. Of course, you get what you pay for....
