Good question Jim.

Surely 2 great vintages. Which one will get the edge? Let's see in 25 years...

I'm not totally charmed by the 2019 yet, but they are 3 years younger... i had not deception yet, with 2016... but small sample up to now.

2021 Arnaldo Rivera Langhe blanc

From nascetta grape. Light yellow color, refined nose of lemon zest, quince, orange, pears. Refreshing nose. Mouth has that nice gentle fruity attack, creamy but fresh, quince, bitter grapefruit, fennel, medium body, freshness, drinkability. Bring me back to Italy... Tn : 90. Arnaldo Rivera is produ...

I vote net positive, for bringing Bordeaux to be a main interest of general wine consumers. And from his description and rating, it was easy to identify wine that you would like. An example : i probbably prefer the wines that Parker rated 90-94 for being more "classical", and i'm less conv...

Mid week Valentine Day, so no wines.

I have reduced significantly wines opened on weekdays... but Beaujolais or Chianti were my choices in the past.

Coming back to GBF original post, and some comments made on 2005 Lagrange, i do think that this is a good Lagrange, but in terme of the vintage, a pretty weak effort. I would have imagined the 2005 Lagrange being more concentrated, a bit more ripe, complex and long.

A nice attention from a nice BWEer. So Jim, still in love with the vintage? I’m personally exhausted on that Friday night. We had sea scallop with a 2021 Fernand Engel Riesling Reserve, that is quite strict, medium body, surely mineral and lemony, not complex, but lightly leafy too. Good wine for a ...

I’ll uncork my magnum of 2020 Calon Segur with you guys on my 105th birthday…. OMG, i'm jalous. I thought the 2020 Calon Segur is such a great young Calon, preferring it to 2000, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011... so much complexity, balance, clasic style, poise in the 2020.
