Here's my CT note on the 2015. I doubt I would score it above 88 points but I certainly liked it. Will keep an eye out for the 2016. 2015 Château de Pitray - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux (11/11/2020) Very nice. Pleasing fruit profile with good acidity. Re: So what have you bought lately?

I've been thinking that I still don't have enough classified growth bottles from St Estephe, and I can't afford the top 3 in most vintages, so I was window shopping for Lafon-Rochet when I came upon an irresistible deal - 2010 La Dame de Montrose magnums for $99. I love that wine, so I bought 3 for ...

Re: Obscurities from a dark corner of the cellar

This bottle was purchased in NYC in the '80s, so I'm not too surprised you've come across the wine. Interesting that this producer was numbering their bottles for provenance back then. I can't imagine it would be confused for BDX in a side-by-side tasting but I bet it would kick some California Cab ...

2015 Château Siran : this is still developping well and probably the steal of the vintage.
