Re: So what have you bought lately?
I’ll uncork my magnum of 2020 Calon Segur with you guys on my 105th birthday…. OMG, i'm jalous. I thought the 2020 Calon Segur is such a great young Calon, preferring it to 2000, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011... so much complexity, balance, clasic style, poise in the 2020. This is what i thought about the...

Re: So what have you bought lately?
I did not know that buying wine was a cure to alleviate PTSD.
I think I also suffer PTSD, as i'm looking more and more to a cro-magnon lately with beard and long hairs. Buying more wine should help me too.

Re: Bordeaux 2020 Southwold Tasting at FarrVintners
Taste a 2020 Calon Segur, and you'll understand. Like i wrote before, how the 14.5 % alcohol 2019 GPL could be better than the 13.5 % alcohol 2020 GPL? But 2016 is better than 2019 and 2020. Mark my words. Had a 2016 Malescot Saint Exupéry on my birthday, January 13th, with JeanFred and AlexH, and i...

Throwing a rock in 2021 d’Armailhac lake
In Montréal, i taste the 2021 Château d’Armailhac. I know dstgolf, JimHow and JeanFred taste it too. It is a well made wine, no objection there. It is a very good red wine of Bordeaux, I can still buy that. It is improving since many vintage (at the stand, they explained to me that it is the case si...

Good title and great report Stuart. I was wishing that you had the 2002 and 2008, as I had them with dstgolf and JimHow last May, and would have been fun to compare. Complexity, élégance, classic Médoc, are for me thé Best descriptives for Lafite. I feel that in your descriptions. Well done and than...

Very good choice. Montrose is surely a wine that many BWEers love, and that has not turned to the dark side, staying a classic strong Saint Estèphe. The 2019 is already recognized as a great red wine from Bordeaux, one of the top in that vintage. Personally, if I would have had to make the call, thi...
