I recall uncorking one of these about a year ago and being similarly disappointed.
It was disappointing because it was a wine that was quite delicious when young.
I've got another 3-4 in the cellar that I'll probably unload at family cookouts, etc.

I'm pretty much wondering whether my case was damaged somewhat.
The bottle I had with Michael P was pretty good, and another bottle was very good.
The rest have been not corked but they just seem flat.

mmm yes I don't have a big sample to draw on Ian but I recall the 2000, 2002, and 2003 displaying a lot of Lafite in them.

Duhart Milon has been Lafite-like for years, at a tenth of the cost.
I bought a bottle of the 2014.

Really nice, elegant, smooth, ripe, round tannins, no sharp edges.
Can't remember what I paid, I'm sure it was a bit overpriced, but it was an enjoyable effort.
Went down very smoothly.
A strong 92 points, although I'm sure not quite worth whatever it was I paid for it.

The 2001 Nairac is an otherworldly wine.
The Sucker rated it 100 points and he had it just about right.
