Re: Two beauties from 1982

Same experience here with 1982 Leoville Barton. I've had it twice, one time it was A+, the other time it was so-so. Likewise '82 GPL. My first purchase at Premier Cru many years ago was two bottles of '82 GPL, they were both excellent. The '82 GPL came in fifth or sixth place out of six wines in the...

Among the SF old timers we have Cab Fan there. I've assigned Timmy to convince Maureen to come. Can somebody contact Werner/Chris and see if we can get them there? There will be some cancellations but with those theee added in we are about at the 40 person limit. If anyone is interested in attending...

The 2002-2003-2004 triumvirate of Lafon Rochet are beautiful but the '96 is their '89 Lynch.

Well done indeed, Stuart.
That's about what the '89 is going for out there.
I still say BWE affected the market on that wine.
I agree, the '90, while excellent, is no '89.

Happy new year RPCV, thanks for the report.
Those sound like some beauties.
The few Chiantis I've had from 2012 seem to have been delicious, I was wondering what the reports are on the post-2010 vintages in Italy.

2016 was the year of Trump. It set everyone off kilter. Like a gyroscope or a top just a little off center. No matter how good things went for us all individually, everything was under a cloud of Donald Trump. And, in November, our worst nightmares came true. What a shock. What a shock. Now everythi...
