I shit you not, Justice MaryGay Kennedy said today in open court, in front of about 75 people, "You look so handsome today, Mr. Howaniec…."
Ah, I crack myself up sometimes.

Say what you will about Clinton's flaws, real or manufactured, but without Comey's blatant interference I believe she would have won. I think you're right. Well done, RG, well done.
You are right, at $25, it's a nice deal.
It has some nice Pessac typicity.
I was gonna buy more from MacArthur's at $22+ but they sold out.

I am not easily moved by serpentine tactics.
Although, I must say that the Man from Quebec's suggestions of 2011 Calon Segur, 2011 d'Yquem, and 2008 Leoville Barton are all certainly worthy of consideration!

That's ridiculous.
That's not buying wine, that's sitting at the roulette table.
Unless the prevalence of premox is a figment of the imagination?
Some, especially in Bourgogne (and in certain corridors at HDH and other auction houses, if memory serves) say that, no?

Boy, sipping on a 2005 Haut Bergey tonight, this bottle seems much better than the bottle I had last week. They just make good stuff there. As for my right bank dalliance, Patrick, like Jeff Leve I really think 2012 was an excellent vintage there from what I can see. They just seem to have a nice ba...

I've had the 2012 La Fleur de Bouard, Barde Haut, Corbin, and Haut Bergey in the past couple weeks, all showing consistent excellence. In fact, if anything the Haut Bergey was even better than on past occasions, when I have enjoyed it. 2012R seems strong to me from my limited experience.

The wine is not complex. It is no Barde Haut. It is like a right bank Les Grands Chenes. Very enjoyable, solid, in its youth. An "old school producer…." I have no idea why anyone would focus on aging this wine. It is exquisite now. It has lots of nice pleasant right bank fruit. Hard to see...
