Re: Xmas 2019

Very nice line up Stefan. The 2001's seem to have fared well. Im personally a fan of the vintage as the fruit is not over ripe and manageable alcohol levels offer classic Bordeaux qualities. Surprised about the Grand Pontet. Love the 1990 for it's backward but persistent fruit. Seems they changed up...

Also don't sleep on the other Kwok property Bellefont Belcier. Also 15% alcohol but integrated in a way that the juice is not overshadowed by the heat. Most are not talking about 2018 just yet but the 2018 Bellefont Belcier is being described as outstanding.

The Monte Bello is a real treat. Recently reported on the 94. There are multiple layers of fruit and sounds like the 95 was impressive as well. Really does not take a back seat to Bordeaux. One of the few American wines I'm happy to pay up for

In stock items only. Would have made a few futures purchases was the 10% offered across the board.
Grand Vin Merchants also has a 100 off 1000 sale. I like their Rhone selections and had a few cases of Rhone purchased as futures delivered earlier this year without a glitch

My last few bottles this year suggest they are ready to go. This could be a difference of palates as I like Bordeaux mostly ready for consumption at 15 to 20 years of maturity. I have 1 bottle left from the 2 cases acquired when our Benevolent Dictator was in a more generous acquisition mode.

78 Mont Redon is risky. I used to drink a bit of Mont Redon CDP as it was an affordable CDP. Was really never impressed with any of them but but they were good value. The Wind Gap is good juice. I've been a fan for a couple years now and probably have a mixed case in the cellar. The style is not tha...

Very clever scheme but not original....during Passover it has been customary for folks to trade away their not kosher for Passover items in exchange for a bill of sale which can be redeemed after the festivities are over
