Alex, i haven't been in this region for some time, but my wife and i used to spend some wonderful summer weekends here. You can always get a nice meal at the Buttermilk Falls B&B with a nice view of the fall. I remember they used to serve up a nice (local) orange duck and some delicious home mad...

I too enjoyed some 2001 Selbach Oster rieslings from the Kabinett level to the Auslese level and the Spatlesen seem to be the sweet spot. Obviously the vintage was a great success but when you get that combination of lipsmacking acidity and the bright sugars clash into a bouquet of peach and apricot...
