I only ever had the 2003 in its youth and it had a lot of acrid, "dilly" (as one of our friends here liked to say) oak tannin, like a modern Rioja or RdD. I saw an offer for the 2016 recently touting the intensive investment and modernization. Proponents of cold, pre-fermentation maceratio...

They have a few name brand Bdx, Bill, at various price points, but most that I wouldn't pay. One they've had this past year that was fair was '15 La Tour de Mons for $22. This was $8.

No Haut Bailly or Pape Clement mags in Kona. Still, ...

Kona did not have any Haut Bailly or Pape Clement, let alone $100 mags. It did have a nice "Kirkland" 2016 Bordeaux Superior. And oddly the cepage is 75% CS and 25% merlot. It appears that the producer is Chateau Petit-Freylon. It is located in Saint-Genis-du-Bois. The nearest place to it ...

I do kind of regret that what's his name--HlFdB--is consulting at Lanessan now. He obviously has a great success at Angelus (at least as f...

It probably wouldn't work with your schedule but you could have a rolling BWE on the Denver-Winter Park ski train. Union Station right to the Gondola (brand new) base now and back, same day. I ski WP regularly when in Colorado and will be there for 10 days come February.
