Dstgolf... i agree with most of what that report states...its well thought out and maybe the numbers aren't precise but the trends do make a lot of sense...the last sentence really describes what our biggest challenge really is. It's very hard to get them to do so in a pandemic that looks invisible ...

Jim you also have to accept what the Governor of Texas is preaching with a grain of salt. Oil prices collapsed to levels that have become uneconomic to drill oil for upstream companies. This group represents a substantial portion of the TX economy which i'm sure generates great funding for the state...

Thank you Jacques and JC on the Piedmonte recommendation. Seeing Vinous has rated the Barbaresco's quite highly in 2016. How about Cigliuti Barbaresco Vigna Erte ? Could bring cost down to $38.65 per bottle if a few members want to split up 2 cases.

Jim i think the issue is that there are a whole lot of sick people that have gone undiagnosed. i know of at least a half dozen people who have the Corona virus and are not exhibiting any acute symptoms. The D'Angerville Volnay is one of my favorites bar none. I was introduced to it by Tim M in Paris several years ago. Rarely do i see them on any retail displays but always on the look out for them. The 2010's are beautiful, like music in a glass.

Celebrating a friend's birthday last night we had 1996 Chateau Beaucastel Chateauneuf Du Pape (from mangnum) With Pappardelle and Fungi. This was absolutely singing. Drinking at peak now with tannins resolved and its as smooth and clean as any CDP i've ever had. All the components are in harmony.......
