Re: President Trump

A friend introduced me to this insightful review by Michiko Kakutani of a new biography by Volker Ullrich: Hitler. Ascent 1889-1939 . The review speaks only of the book and Hitler's rise to power, but the parallels to Trump's candidacy are blatantly apparent and very scary. http://www.nytimes.com/20...

Haven't bought white burgs for many years. Been burned by Beaucastel VV. Just bought some 2008 Huet Moelleux, hope it holds up. John Bonné suggests in this article that letting the juice oxidize prior to fermentation may be an answer. However, Kongsgaard has been doing this for 20 years yet "so...

I had the same impression Jim, He started strong and controlled. She baited him a few times and after 15-20 minutes he was ranting. That went on a good 20-30 minutes, then he calmed a bit and her responses got a bit snoozy even for me. But he went off the rails again towards the end and she blasted ...

Thanks for the report. I've had a few of these and for the most part agree with your TNs, though I found the 1986 Lafite and Mouton much more enjoyable than you did. Not meager or charmless at all, whether I've had them blind or not. Could be I've got a broader range of tolerance for tannin. To my p...

If money were no object I'd go after 1990 left bank wines. For more affordable options that check my palate's boxes I would look at 1996 left...

Unusual is not a disqualifier. No one running for President is usual. But health wise, it seems that there are logical non-life-threatening explanations for all of these. Interesting take on the Obama/Clinton primary race. I do agree that Obama ran circles around Clinton. I thought the Obama team was just as dirty, but much more skilled at having surrogates slip in the knives without the candidate having to look dirty.
