funny, thing is this wine screamed bordeaux on the nose, tons of leather, yum. I opened a bottle for my buddy and he went ga ga.

The fun part of bordeaux is finding those quiet gems that cost pennies and compete with the bigger wines. ex. a couple recent bottles of 2001 Vieux Château Champs de Mars Johanna were fantasic at $15.
