Re: 1996 Lafon-Rochet

It's been a backward dullard for me. This wine needs more time, though it's certainly one of the more expressionless ' 96s I've encountered. Let's be hopeful for the future.

Cheers.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NEW BWE!

Many thanks to all those who brought us to this crisp and easy to use new site.

I will be happy NOT to get timed out and deal with the many flaws we encountered at you-know-where.

My vow of never, ever using spellcheck will continue over here.

Great job gentlemen!

Re: I'm with Richard on the 2004s

Thanks Jim. Nice to be here.

I've been traveling overseas for a month, and it's a real delight to see our new BWE home.

Kudos to you and all those who made this great effort.

Re: TN: 2000 Château Lagrange St. Julien (France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien)

All of the 2000 St. Julien's I've sampled in the past year are winners; Ducru, Branaire, Leo. Barton, as well as the abovementioned Lagrange. Re: The world is crashing, but Carruades holding firm

My head is still spinning and I'm jet lagged. Just home after nearly a month in the far east. Yes, the 2000 Carruades is selling at restaurants in China for a little under a grand a pop! Just as I speculated last summer when I sold my three cases, the wine is being sold as; "Chateau Lafite.&quo...

Re: I'm with Richard on the 2004s

Nice to see our snappy new BWE home and familiar faces over here.

I would like to say that another delicious 2004 is the Brane Cantenac; nicely perfumed, very classically attractive and subdued, with good ripeness. A solid example.
